RE(W)RITE!

This performance is our tour version, which is specially adapted so that we can travel with it also abroad.

What rituals do we, as a human being, miss in our present?

RE(W)RITE! invites its audience on a personal journey of discovery in an immersive universe where participants are initiated into close, theatrical shared experiences.

RE(W)RITE! is a performance installation where guests are present as observers and as active participants at the same time.

RE(W)RITE! is about meeting and travelling together a little bit of the way. Each journey becomes personal, and collective at once.

With RE(W)RITE! we will celebrate the human connection, and our common return to being close to each other.

As Nullo Facchini, director of RE(W)RITE! puts it:
“The people we meet in our everyday lives always pose a challenge. They confront us with radically different ways of seeing, experiencing or understanding the world. They push us out of balance with their different interpretations and solutions. With their feelings. They remind us that we cannot survive without constantly making compromises. But it is these meetings that also protect us. From loneliness, from intellectual impoverishment. From the predictability of our own lives.

Creating a special framework for these meetings/challenges is one of the most important tasks of the performing arts in our time.”

Reviews from when RE(W)RITE! played in Copenhagen from the 19th of May – 12th of June 2021:

“The whole atmosphere is so sensually empathetic and inviting, even though the unpredictable can make the heart beat a little faster, at the same time it feels safe to be led.”
